Truth Systems Announces $4m Seed Round
We’re excited to share that Truth Systems has raised $4 million in Seed funding, led by Gradient.
This is a landmark moment for us, bringing our team one step closer to building the infrastructure of trust for the AI economy.
But beyond the milestone, this also feels like the right moment to reflect. I want to take you behind the scenes and share the story of how we started, the partnerships that drive us, and the future we are so excited to build together.
A Growing Movement
in Legal Innovation
Truth Systems began with a late-night conversation outside a taco truck, where Alex and I wondered: How can humans interact with AI in ways that are safer, more transparent, and ultimately more human?
That question took us to Stanford Law, where under Dr. Megan Ma we explored how legal and technical systems could build trust in AI. What started as research became a conviction: good governance shouldn’t slow innovation down; it should make it possible.
That belief became Truth Systems. Our platform, Charter, translates policies into intelligent, real-time guardrails, transforming governance from reactive discussions into a proactive system that enables innovation.
Today, we work with some of the biggest law firm in the world, helping their Innovation, IT, and Risk teams make AI adoption both responsible and scalable. With Charter, firms embed their standards directly into daily workflows, turning compliance from a checkbox into a living system.
